Expertise Questionnaire — Tell Us About You
A short set of questions for newcomers to the Augmentatism community. Your answers are posted publicly in the #introductions channel on our Discord — they double as your introduction, so other members can reply, point you somewhere useful, or say hello. Nothing here is collected privately or used for anything you can't see happening in the thread. (That's not fine print — it's the Law of Anti-Capture applied to our own onboarding.)
Answer as much or as little as you like. "Unsure" and "I'm just here to watch for now" are complete, valid answers — watching is a level on the evolution ladder, not a failure state.
One thing worth knowing before you answer: this questionnaire never labels you. It tells the community how you want to work and where you are right now. Labels (Audience, Potential Builder, Tinkerer, Shipper, Operator) are a different thing: they describe what you have shipped and what you have named as the next step, and they are derived from the Project Registry, never from a form. You will not be graded on these answers, ever.

5. Are you building something — or dreaming of building something? One or two lines. "Only an idea so far" is a real answer; one member arrived with only an idea and had help within minutes, and nobody asked for credentials. If something is blocking you — no time, no first step, no teammates, no idea what to build, fear of showing unfinished work — name it here or in Q7. That is the exact line the community reads, and the reply you get is one next action, sized to your bandwidth. See Tiers and Labels.

What happens next: real people reply — that's the point. Expect a human hello, a pointer to your first meeting (see the Meeting Map), and if you named a project in Q5, an invitation to add it to the Project Registry — an idea with a friction named is a complete row, and it is exactly the kind of row the community focuses on.
